When To Treat And How To Cure A Yeast Infection

Are you suffering from vaginal itching again? Is it that time of the month where you’d usually suffer from large white clumpy vaginal discharge? Is yeast infection the bane of your existence?

Many women suffer from yeast infection. They’d find themselves unable to work or do house chores. They find themselves obsessing over treatment, trying out whatever they read online. They find themselves constantly
worrying and wondering how to cure a yeast infection.

Some women would use garlic suppositories. Other women are hoarding oregano oil. There are women who have mastered making homemade boric acid suppositories. Who can blame them? Yeast infection can cause a lot of stress especially if it is a chronic yeast infection. It is even worse if you can’t pinpoint the cause of the infection.

When to Treat a Yeast Infection
Yeast infection is actually caused by the overgrowth of a candida, a fungus that actually resides in people’s bodies. However, there are factors that cause imbalances which lead to the overgrowth of the candida. Candida albicans is normally present in the human skin. In fact, you’d find this fungus inside your mouth and twenty percent of the fungus is present in the vaginal area.

Now, if the presence of yeast is fairly common in women’s bodies, when should you seek treatment for yeast infection? Should you treat yeast infection? Do you know how to cure a yeast infection?

Yeast, although normal, should be treated when there is an overgrowth which causes the symptoms of the infection. Most of the symptoms of yeast infection cannot easily be ignored. It’s highly doubtful if you could ignore the severe itching. Yes, it does itch so bad that women suffering from it cannot help but scratch the area. Scratching, of course, aggravates the soreness because yeast infection does cause soreness and vaginal rashes.

You’d also experience pain with urination and sexual contact. On top of all these symptoms, you’d also grimace at the large white chalky vaginal discharges. And these are the least of the symptoms because other women experience migraines, depression, back ache and so on.

If you are not experiencing any of these symptoms, there is no need for you to undergo treatment. However, if you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you should definitely seek treatment.

How to Cure a Yeast Infection

There are actually various treatments for yeast infection available in your local drug stores. You can find antifungal creams which you can apply directly to the vaginal area. You can also opt for oral antifungal medications or vaginal suppositories. Butoconazole is great for chronic yeast infection because the various candida strains rarely develop resistance to butoconazole.

If OTC or prescription meds do not work, do you know how to cure a yeast infection that has become resistant to treatment? Are there any alternative treatments to treating yeast infection? Many women have turned to natural remedies to treat their yeast infection.

Boric acid supplements have been proven to be quite effective in treating chronic yeast infection. Some people have tried garlic suppositories or garlic oil and oregano oil as alternative remedies. Of course, the effectivity of treatment varies with each individual.

How Can You Cure Y I - How To Reduce Your Risk of Yeast Infections

Xanthones

As previously mentioned, many personal and genetic attributes affect your likelihood of suffering from recurring yeast infections. Some of these factors are within your control, and some are not. Today, let’s focus on some major things you can do to reduce your risk of realizing you have yet another yeast infection.

  1. Antibiotics. A major factor in contributing to yeast infections, partly because antibiotics are so over-prescribed today, and partly just because antibiotics wipe out the good bacteria present in your body, too. Candida is able to grow unchecked, and soon you have another yeast infection.
  2. Spermicide. Many women have reported increased yeast infections when using condoms with spermicide on them. While birth control is always laudable, consider alternate pregnancy prevention techniques.
  3. Wet and/or warm undergarments. Warm, moist areas are the ideal breeding ground for a yeast infection. To combat candida, change your underwear at least once a day. Take off your bathing suit bottoms immediately after you are finished swimming, and don’t put on damp underwear or pants.
  4. Stress. As with many physical ailments, part of the cause of yeast infections is due to stress. Remember to relax, and that the best, most effective long-term cures for yeast infections tend to be holistic cures, and not just applying anti-fungal medication after the symptoms start.

No matter how many yeast infections you have had in the past, it is never too late to try a new approach. Obviously, anti-fungal medications do nothing to prevent future yeast infections, or why would you be on this website?

The One Minute Cure may just be another method you want to look in OneMinute It’s time to look beyond yeast infection as a cause, but instead as a symptom that something in your body is not right. Hopefully, with a little attention to safe, natural cures, you will be able to say goodbye to yeast infections forever!

Yeast Infection From Inhalers And A Fast, Natural Cure

Yeast Infection From Inhalers And A Fast, Natural Cure

Can you get a yeast infection from inhalers? Yes! In fact if you use an inhaler you are more likely to get an oral yeast infection than the average person. Learn why, and discover a natural cure that can get rid of your yeast infection in as little as 12 hours.

A yeast infection may occur in any part of the body including the skin. However, the most common areas are the sexual genitalia and the mouth. This article looks solely at the mouth; an oral yeast infection — sometimes called “thrush” — and, in particular, the problem of yeast infection from inhalers.

First, just what is a yeast infection? Well, it is caused by a natural fungus called Candida albicans which is present in most of us. Candida just loves warm, moist areas such as the vagina, penile areas, the mouth, gums, throat and even the lungs.

In a healthy body, we suffer no ill effects, because there is sufficient good bacteria to keep the fungus in check; that is the body is in a “balanced” state.

However, when there is insufficient good bacteria the Candida “overgrows” which leads to the yeast infection.

Some of the things that can trigger and exacerbate an overgrow are; the prolonged use of antibiotics and / or steroids, a weakened immune system, stress, diabetes, the wearing of non-breathable tight underwear, unprotected sex, and more.

So to the mouth and yeast infection from inhalers. The mouth is a great place for the Candida to reside; it’s warm, moist, and there are many nooks and crannies for it to take hold.

Now inhalers for asthma, for example, contain steroids and people who have to use these continually are at a high risk of an oral yeast infection, since the steroids can reduce the levels of good bacteria in the mouth and lungs, and can thus allow the Candida to overgrow into a full-blown infection.

Some symptoms of oral yeast infection or thrush are; redness and cream / yellow colored raised spots on the tongue and mucous membranes.

What can you do to help prevent yeast infection from inhalers? After each use you MUST ALWAYS rinse your mouth out — as you normally do after brushing your teeth — with fresh water to ensure that you remove all traces of steroids from your mouth, gums, and cavities.

You need to do this to ensure that Candida / good bacteria in the mouth remains “in balance”. Even if you already have an infection then do this to help keep it under control.

Yeast Infection In The Mouth ? Causes And Symptoms

Yeast Infection

Yeast Infection In The Mouth ? Causes And Symptoms

There are many reasons why yeast infections can develop in the mouth. Basically it can be one of three things that lead to an infection. These are fungi, bacteria or disease. Candida albicans, a fungus, is one of the likely reasons for oral yeast infections. While yeast infections in babies’ mouths are most often referred to as thrush, these infections are called Candidiasis or moniliasis when they occur in the mouths or throats of adults.

Candida is a yeast-like fungus that occurs naturally in small quantities in the human digestive system and in women’s vaginal region. It is also the same Candida fungus that causes yeast infections in women, and yeast infection in the mouth. This happens when the Candida organism, which is present in small numbers in a healthy person, grows out of control. The fungus invades the membranes lining the mouth and throat, and secretes toxic substances which may cause a painful burning feeling.
There are a range of things that can cause yeast infections in the mouth. The first thing that might be the culprit is the use of antibiotics. Another factor could be if you are undergoing a course of chemotherapy or other drug treatments which can increase your susceptibility to contracting a yeast infection. This is because these drugs produce a favorable environment within your body for growth of Candida. Using these drugs reduces the number of favorable bacteria that normally help keep the Candida in check giving it the chance to grow rapidly.

Some of the conditions that favor growth of the Candida microorganism include diabetes, poor nutrition, drug abuse, and a weakened immune system. Since the very young and the very old do not have such strong immune systems, they are more susceptible to yeast infection in the mouth, as their systems are less resistant to small variations in their environment.

People who have perfectly fitted dentures are less likely to develop yeast infections in the mouth. Dentures that are not correctly fitted can cause damage to the mucous membranes inside the mouth which in turn can cause the Candida fungi to grow.
A common symptom of oral yeast infection is a white or cream colored discharge and occasionally yellow spots within the mouth. This is often a precursor to painful stinging or burning inside the mouth and throat and can be a source of distress for children and adults.

A yeast infection in the mouth is a 2 step process. Firstly, you must treat the underlying cause of the problem. It may be necessary to replace dentures if they appear to be the cause of the infection. Then you can take some form of antifungal drug that will eradicate the fungi. The most popular form of anti fungal medication are pastilles because they are easy to take. As you suck on the pastille, the medication acts directly on the fungus.

How To Cure Vaginial Yeast Infection Naturally

Yeast Infection

How To Cure Vaginial Yeast Infection Naturally

Yeast infection is the most prominent type of vaginitis. Symptoms include vaginal itching and a thick white discharge that resembles cottage cheese. It occurs when imbalances in the body’s flora disrupt the normal environment of the vagina causing an overgrowth of Candida albicans. Most women will have this problem at some time in their life.

If you have a yeast infection, you may have overgrowth of candida in other parts of your body such as the intestines, mouth and throat, toe nails, etc. The factors that may increase your risk of yeast infections are taking birth control pills, antibiotics and steroids, hormonal changes caused during pregnancy or menopause. Another cause may be a weakening of the immune system.

Supplements and Herbs

Probiotics — Probiotics will rebuild and balance the flora which will help in preventing an overgrowth of yeast. Insert two capsules of acidophilus into your vagina daily to increase the flora directly. You can also use plain unsweetened yogurt with live cultures as a suppository. Insert two tablespoons daily and be sure and wear a pad. Two ways you can insert the yogurt are using an empty tampon inserter or a turkey baster.

Garlic and Pau D’arco — These are great herbs to help you control candida albicans overgrowth. You can also insert garlic vaginally as well. Take a peeled garlic clove and insert it as far into the vagina as you can every night for a week. The downside in using garlic is the smell, but it is very effective.

DIM-Plus — This is a great product that I have used myself. A while back I was having problems with recurring vaginitis, dryness and hot flashes. DIM-Plus has really helped to stop my hot flashes, and I no longer have recurring vaginitis or yeast infections. In trying to balance my hormones I had tried herbs like black cohosh, maca, chaste berry, etc. but none of them worked. DIM-Plus works within just a week or two to improve symptoms.

Immune boosting supplements and herbs are also helpful.

Douches

Povidone Iodine Douche — Use two tablespoons of povidone iodine (Betadine) in a quart of warm filtered or bottled water and use once per day for one week to two weeks. Do not use longer than two weeks. The first couple of times you may feel a stinging sensation but then it will go away. This is proof that it is healing the infection.

Peroxide Douche — Put 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide in a quart of warm filtered or bottled water and use once a day for one week to 10 days. Hydrogen peroxide is naturally produced by friendly bacteria in your vagina and is able to kill candida. This douche is excellent in helping you to replenish hydrogen peroxide levels.

How to Prevent Vaginitis

Wear all cotton underwear
Take showers not baths
Don’t use harsh soaps that are scented
Always wipe from front to back when using the toilet
Avoid scented tampons or pads
After a course of antibiotics supplement with acidophilis for at least a month
Eliminate sugar from your diet as it feeds candida
Eat yogurt
